🟢 Third Quiz Evening Saturday 22 August

Our third Quiz night was a great success. Four teams battled out a tight contest to be the overall winners of our quiz. Rounds of ten questions included general knowledge, film & TV, geography, science, history as well as a starter round of 'Whose eyes are these' photos and a music round that played in the background whilst fish & chips was enjoyed by all.

A big thank you must go to Steve O'Brien who ran the bar, Tony Seago for collecting the food and Janet & Colin Doe for running the half time game and the raffle.

🟢 Fun day Photos

A big thank you to Colin Horsnell for organising the Fun Day on Saturday 1 August 2026. A good time was had by one and all. The food brought by club members and shared with all went down a treat.

🟢 Refresh your bowls accessories Hamper raffle

Last hamper raffle this season is titled ‘Refresh your bowls accessories’.

£5 a strip and will go on sale from the bar from Monday 17th August.

Hamper consists of: spray chalk, measure, water bottle, wood cloth, neck cooling cloth, gripper, neck fan, bowls diary/planner 2027.

🟢 Pimms O'clock Hamper raffle

The winner of the Pimms O'clock Summer Raffle is Alan Potts. Congratulations Alan.

It consists of a jug, 4 glasses, Pimms, lemonade and fresh food to be added on the day of the raffle draw (strawberries, mint, cucumber, scones, jam & clotted cream).

🟢 World Cup sweepstake results

Winners of the World Cup were Spain so Ian Dunn receives £70.

Runners up were Argentina claimed by Michael Lee who receives £45.

Iraq was the worst team (fewest points and biggest goal difference) held by Karol O’Brien who receives the princely sum of £5.

🟢 World Cup Hamper Winner

The World Cup Raffle winner Tony Seago is presented with the football themed hamper by Lady Captain and raffle organiser, Karol O'Brien. The draw was made during Monday 29 June Pick & Play session at the club.
