Internal Competition Rules
The first top named player in each pairing ("the challenger") must contact his / her opponent as soon as possible within any play period, but no later than a minimum of 14 days before the "play by date" offering 3 dates, one of which must be a weekend, to their opponent, to agree a date for the match to be played.
If the challenger and opponent are unable to find a mutually agreeable date to play before the “play by date”, the Challenger must inform the Internal Competitions Secretary who will award the match to their opponent. However, if the opponent fails to respond to the challenger, the match will be awarded to the Challenger.
The Challenger is also responsible for finding a marker for the match and recording the match in the daybook as well as placing the result card, duly signed by the marker, in the result card box,
On the day of any match the Challenger, in the presence of his opponent, will draw a ball from the rink allocation bag to decide which rink the match is to be played on. Rink orientation for play must be as indicated in the daybook.
Attire - White sports top or blouse with collar and short sleeves and either grey or white, trousers / skirts or tailored shorts, to be worn for all practice, roll ups and internal matches on the greens, club shirts to be worn for all matches against other clubs either home or away. The only exception is Monday evenings Pick & Play when smart casual may be worn.
